On the rare times that I have repinned a euro, I have used the paperclip technique as described in one of the stickies on the board. I re-read it today and the last post by NKT says that getting the top pins and springs back in, and keeping them held down, (before inserting plug obviously) can be a right sod, especially the 6th for example in high spec locks due to stronger springs etc.
This got me looking again at the professional repinning jigs (such as Souber) that are made for this purpose. Anyone use this type of jig and what are your thoughts? I have never seen one in practise! Does it enable you to remove the plug with the pins/springs still retained within the lock, or do they fly out as normal and you have to replace them first before putting plug back in?
Someone mentioned cutting a copy key in half, inserting and turning plug slightly, inserting paperclip, turning upright and plug should be withdrawn with paperclip still in place, holding down the pins/springs. Is this how the professinal ones work.
Reason i am asking is that I may be getting a contract at my local high school for girls (tough job - someone's gotta do it), so you can see why I am desperate to get this job..
Seriously, I think each floor has their own suited locks so any euros that need replacing (euro mortice cases) ideally need to be suited to that floor.
