CIRCLIP CRIMPING TOOL

can anyone tell me where i can purchace circlip crimping tools from ???
i have a catalog from keyprint but they sell them for £45 :shock: or is that just a miss print
ive tryed surces on the net but may not be surching right

can anyone help me please ?

sorry i should also add that i mainly want them for crimping the circlips back on to euro cylinders
or has anyone got another way of doing this ?

You don't crimp circlips. You remove them carefully so as not to stretch them. If they become stretched after removed, you use a pair of pliers to bend them closed, and carefully put them back on so as not to stretch them again.

I've found more success in lifting the circlip straight off and over the back of the plug, rather than by sliding them off sideways. They stretch out by sliding them sideways, but need only little springy-stretching to lift straight off.

PS. This is the set I own. You can also buy them from most other suppliers, including Lockmasters, if you prefer.

Circlip is the wrong name as he didnt mean a true circlip so circlip pliers will not do this job at all,

i know what i ment and i did mean circlip as i said before KEYPRINT based in scotland sell these but are £45 each and that seems a bit steep to me for a set or crimps

and with euro cylinders you have to bend the clip open slightly as they wont come off over the plug
