I take it you mean the clear practise locks?

If so do a search and you will find lots of threads about them,

Briefly, they are great if you dont know how a lock works but not much use for anything else, to use them for picking practise will only slow your advancement down somewhat,

To learn how to pick click on th epicture on my post and look for the beginners picking exorcise,

If you mean the clear practice locks, then I am with Shrub.

You will learn a lot about whats going on inside, but if you watch the thing while you pick, you miss the point of learning how to feel the pins.

This is one of your most important skills, and you should not try to do anything quick and easy.

This is an excert from a pm convo ive had with crazyman,

The problem with them is that you start to rely on lookign at what you are doing instead of feeling what you are doing, the slightest problem and you look at the side at whats wrong, they hold you up and limit your ability,

Get a cheap cylinder lock and repin it to 2 pins then 3 then 4 and so on, this is the best way to learn and if you follow the exorcise as well you will soon be picking,

I thought it prdent to also post it here to further clarify my comment to anyone else reading this,
