Dimple lock tools - homemade ?!?

Postby shaizer » 5 Oct 2006 13:37

Hi guys, i was wondering if it is possible to make a dimple lockpick by hand.. I already made myself most of the other tools for pin-tumblers but does not seem to find a good info on dimple lockpicks and stuff like that.. Can anybody help me with that..
I also made some movies :

I have more, but it's nothing special ... if you want i can post them too , some buping and handcuff removal and stuff like that , but i do not like the whole bumping idea - there is no fun in it. Those are EU type locks i do not have US locks cuz i'm from Europe ... All my tools are home made and are not bad.. but i do not know how to make a dimpel lockpick , if someone can give me some pointers would be very nice.

most dimple locks fall under the advanced section, but as for info check out crypto.com alot of good stuff that mr. blaze puts out and as for the tools.. look at ready made ones and attempt to duplicate... (some decent photos might be found by googling newsparkling

O.K.
I guess i must work my way up to the advanced section then :) ..
Still if someone is willing to help me a bit it would be very nice.
As far as lockpicking i am a noob so i probably can not be of much asistance to most of you guys, but i guess i can help with some other stuff like hardware/software and stuff like that , and i am in EU / well almost :) so i have access only to European style locks /... but most of the guys here are in to computers as well so :)
Thanks ...

I use a half-diamond rake. My results aren't consistent, but I usually get it open eventually. :)

10x very much , will try this and tell if i made it work ...

Today i got myself a grinder and i am happy cuz all that fileing was making me crazy :) and my dremel is a small variant for electronics still it does the job :) but the cutting wheels are expensive. It's PULY or something like that / some China made sh*t / where i live it costs something like 6-7$ - it's a good price for a dremel tool dont you think :) / the DREMEL brand tools are like 100$ - the good ones at least / And the grinder i get for like 25$ .. so it's nice ... Also for making tool's i do not use knives or blades but those methal stuff that is for detecting-measureing clearance / sorry i do not the word in english / I have already made the 1cm one to a tool but will take a new set to try to make some dimple picks. I'll try to post some pictures of the "raw material" and my already made picks....
