To the locksmiths here, repinning a restricted-keyway lock

I bought a pair of ASSA Twin Combi 4800 cylinders off ebay a while back, and they came with one key and no key-card. I originally intended on seeing how a sidebar works, and possibly trying to pick either a sidebar by itself, or the top pins with no sidebar.

Now that one has disappeared into a cloud of flying springs, I was thinking about actually using the other cylinder, but with only one key I am a bit cautious.

I know no reputable locksmith would cut me a key, and I wouldn't ask them to, but I was wondering if anyone knew roughly how much it would be to get the thing re-pinned and a set of keys and a card issued? If it costs too much, I'll file the lock and key away in my collection ( or put it up for sale ), but I would rather like to use it myself.

Call around the local shops .. you will need to get a new side bar also

This is the ASSA that has identical sidebars with the keying on the finger-pins not the other way around.

The sidebars are different for most Locksmiths, as they have their own Number (sidebar code). The sidebars are reversable, as you can flip them over and get a second sidebar code. You will need to find a locksmith with the same number thats on your key. The number is one the head of the key, bottom right corner, ie: 51-123. Otherwise the side bar will need to be changed, no big deal, but may cost extra.
We charge $35 for a rekey plus $15 a key.
