High-Low pins

I have recently bought an "ERA" euro-cylinder lock (for the benefit of those where "ERA" is not sold, they have security pins in them).

I am able to pick the "ERA" pin-by-pin, sometimes it takes me 4 minutes and sometimes it takes me 15 minutes, but I am able to pick it, which I am happy about.

But recently, I bought a pin-tumbler lock from a shop called "Wilkinsons" which I could not pick at all . I thought there must be security pins inserted into this lock, so I stripped the lock, and to my suprise, found no security pins, only that the bottom key pins were high-low-high-low-low.

Question is, if you have a sequence of high-low pins from one extreme to the other, is this the reason I am finding it hard to pick this particular lock without security pins ?

sounds like it is pinned beyond MACS, which makes it harder to pick but not soo good for the lock

if there are no security pins in it ya its the hi-low

there may be other facters to but the hi low might be the main

get/make a long hook and try it
