Kromer BP55K lock on ebay

Postby greyman » 1 Jan 2007 8:51

Just thought you guys might be interested - there's a decent looking Kromer BP55K lock with Lafetten and key on ebay UK now. The last one of these was from the same seller and went for about 100 GB pounds.
The seller is shipping worldwide (no - I'm not the seller, but I can tell you this is a really nice lock!)

Here's some pictures of the insides:

Thanks!
However, usually, a certain Mr. Han Fey outbids me on these things...

And: It should be called "with Lafette" - "Lafetten" would be the plural, as in "with at least 2 Lafetten" :)

Cheers,
mh

Along the same lines, I saw this yesterday and I'm wondering if it's common or something I should add to my collection.

It's a KABA Mauer 70079 Praetor B Class 3 safe lock with 2 150mm keys.

the keys look interesting.

Yes, I asked the guy about the Mauer but it's just the 11 lever version, not key changeable :(

mh - thanks for the confirmation on Lafette - I thought I had that wrong.

You're welcome - as there's not much I can contribute anyway, I have to resort to German spelling and grammar :D :D

I had a look at the end of the ebay auction for the Kromer BP55K lock. For quite a while the highest bid was at around 100 GB pounds then just before the end someone put in a bid for GBP155, which closed the deal. This looks like a recent Kromer lock, now out of production, so clearly a collector's item.

I do know the seller but in this case he is mistaken, 70079 is a key changeable lock but only Klasse 2.
