Have a search around the site for spool pins, security pins etc you will find lots of advice on picking them,

Breifly i guess you can pick non spooled lock?

I will assume the above and carry on,

You pick as normal and then when the plug rotates and stops you know your on a spool or simular,

Work through the pins with a light tension and lightly press up each pin in turn,

A spool pin will make the plug turn back to centre if its falsely set, a false set normal pin just stops the plug moving and doesnt turn back if its set wrongly where as the spool does,

When you find where the spools are theres one of a few popular methods you can then use,

1) Re-set the lock and then when picking it you remember where the spools are and lift them higher with very little tension then when you think you have lifted them high enough excert normal tension and continue to try to set the pin this time correctly,

2) Re-set the lock and then remembering where the spools are you pick the lock as normal except where the spools are you lift them as high as you can,
When the other pins are set you then start to gently bounce the tension in small amounts so that the 'overlifted' pins start to drop down, you are in effect now picking the lock upside down inside out (wtf lol) basically your dropping false set pins on purpose down to the shear,

3) This is my own personal present method but takes practise, i used to use method 2 then 1 and now this one is my current one,
When you are picking you can feel when the plug turns by a set pin, this rotation can be felt and remembered to the point that when you falsely set a spool it turns a slightly differant amount than a correctly set pin, not in all cases but you can normally feel on a lock make you know when its a spool pin and that its setting falsely,
I then release a bit of the tension making sure th eother set pins dont now drop, once i do that i gentally lift the spool pin a bit higher to the correct set, when doing this you risk releaseing the set pins everytime so a careful feel and good control of the tools is imperative,

These are the ways ive done them in the past im sure if you do your search you will find other ways to do them,
