Italian lockpicking

Postby Cokeblood » 19 Feb 2004 7:19

:D hi all, my name is Davide, and i live in Rome! i want to start lockpicking (as a hobby of course ^^ i'm not a thief) so i stepped on this nice discussion board. I saw some pick sets on the links posted in the FAQs, but now i need to make a question: if i buy a pick set (for example the thin ones good for the UK), will they work in italy? if not, where can i find a cheap pick set good for italian locks? another thing... if i do not have a pick set, can i build a simple one? how? or can i use something else to pick simple locks? please asnwer me ;D i never picked a lock... i'm more incompetent than a total newbye ^^

the european slim line sets will work in Rome, as the key holes should be about the same in size as that of the UK. Also if you wish to make your own set of picks there is a very good video to teach you how, just search the forums.

Any way I hope you enjoy lock picking as it is a very good, fun and intellectual sport.

Hope you have fun and hope this helped

When I visit screwfix, it says that I may also be interested in a Lock-tite style product a router and a chainsaw. The Lock-tite and the router could be useful in installing a lock, but the chainsaw........?

The chainsaw is for getting you back through the door, when you check the installation and find you've left the keys and your picks inside...
Image If it ain't broke.....pull it down and see how it works anyway!
