cutting bump keys by code ?

Postby butterboy » 16 Mar 2007 10:21

I thought I would dupicate some bump keys my pop sent me the other day. So I went through my blanks to find the ones I could make, and cut a few up.
Then I thought maybe I cuold cut one from code and match the one my pop sent me.
So I cut a coulpe keys, and then I found a master M1 blank coisiding code card, and cut 3 keys , all the wile after every key I would match it to the keys i was sent and they allways matched up .
That made me happy.
Then I started looking at the code card ,this time reading that the cutter I used was not the corect one.
So I changed the cutter and cut a key.
Now my new key is different than the key M1 that was bought its a 4 pin.
Well my qustion is did the key get made the wrong way and just get sent out anyway.
Im sure eveyones saying try it and if it works then fine.
Ive been trying to bump and havent got the hang of it yet.
