I need a good source for getting bklank keys for impressioning.
So far I only got 1 blank key from a local locksmith,
but not good for learning impressioning.

Regular blank keys also welcome. I definitely need nemef type 1 or 2
(dont kow wich one, am a noob at profiles)

The only source I know who sold blanks doesnt sell them anymore...

Can anyone suggest good sources for me?
I livein Nteherlands/Europe.

Thanks

BTW. Will I be able to find Auropean/Dutch profile blank-keys in the
Ilco key PDF's ?
Is it worth my time to look at these catalogs?

Thanks

Do you Dutch have Wal-Marts? They sell blanks because the "locksmiths" there are really just kids too lethargic to go to college.

Love the sig, BTW 8)

Hi,

Thanks for replying. No we don't have wal-marts here
All is much bigger in America :P
And yes Ive tried ebay to no succes.

I really need blanks for dutch locks only. I dont even know wich profiles
to look for or how to know wich types I need.
Is there a place where I can get information on all types of profiles used for my country?
Some locks (for example the kitchen-door) is very old.

Could the Ilco-bank catalogue as in the Help of this site,
also offer profiles to match European/Dutch locks?

You need the lock names before looking for the keys,

You need the locks before you get the lock names,

You shouldnt be playing with your door locks or any locks in use neither any that arent yours,

Get some practice locks and then look for the keys,

The ilco catalogue may have some blanks but you have to think how you are gogin to get them off them,

The popular locks over there rom memory are Dom, Winkhaus, Evva, Abus, Lips, Kaba and many more i cant think of,

Ps, where in the Netherlands are you?

I visit Amsterdam very frequently and know for a fact that there are a couple of hardware stores that have racks of keys behind the key cutter on the counter,

Yes I live nearby Amsterdam.
And yes I own the keys that open my doors.
But none of the locksmiths are willing to sell me blanks :(

Try and ask Barry from TOOOL. He's been playing around with impressioning recently, maybe he can help you.
It's not the tools that open the lock. It's me.
