im really desperate to get back in my car i have to pick my sister up at 2 o'clock today. i cant get any lock picking tools so does anybody know a way to pick a car lock using conventional tools?

You'll shoot your eye out, kid.

No, seriously, don't pick locks you rely on, you can badly damage them, then you'll be in for a much more expensive repair. Just call a locksmith, or, if you live in a small community, call your local police station (my mom used to do this to get free unlockings, but we lived in a suburb in VT. Doesn't seem to work in a lot of places, and would probably just upset a lot of people...)

Additionally, we don't give out automotive picking instruction on the public forums. We really do try to keep a security-conscious attitude about all of this stuff.

Always get a couple of quotes from a couple of different locksmiths. Lock guys are privately owned businesses and offer a range of prices. Some will deal a little, for something close, and easy.
For a car opening, you might also try calling a tow truck company, as many operators carry entry tools, know how to use them. and charge less than some locksmiths.

This info is for list members who might appreciate a heads-up on this.

Frankly, I don't believe your story, and I doubt anyone else does either.
