General error in "Search" feature

Postby zonk2 » 20 Sep 2007 21:48

I must be doing something wrong because when I do a search to find some posts on various topics I get a "general error" message with the following description. If I do a "author" search then it works ok. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong, please.

It's a problem with the site. It is being worked on. Try using google to search for what you are looking for here. LP101 topics can be found with a google search.

You can restrict Google to just one site (e.g., this one) by putting site=lockpicking101.com at the end of your query. For example the Google query:

Code: Select all
"bump keys" -sale site:lockpicking101.com

Would return pages with the phrase "bump keys", but without the word "sale", and would only show you pages from lockpicking101.com.

Got the same thing trying to post a new topic.

Can anyone help? I have a kinda emergency.

I have a lockwood deadlock. Last nite, I took it off the door to tighten the faceplate which was rattling loose.
I must have put it back on wrong.

Now, I have the key turned 1/4 way anti-clockwise. Enough to unlock the door, but now I can't turn the key either way. I can't take the back off the deadlock either.

What can I do?

If you did not line it up perfectly when you reinstalled it it may just be binding. Try pulling and pushing on the door as you try to unlock it. Or lift up and down on the lock itself as you try to unlock it.

use a lock plier and pull the key by jiggling but it needs too much efforts but keep going you,ll do it friend :)
