Safe

Postby JustWantMoney » 28 Sep 2007 19:53

I cannot access the Safe section so ill post here.

There is a safe i want to access, probably 6 and a half feet tall i'm pretty sure it's a gun safe.
It has 6 rifles, 3 handguns and roughly 15 thousand dollars in cash.

I have the last number to the combination and i am actually pretty sure i can guess the other 2 because of the meaning of the last number.

there is the lil white notch where you enter put the numbers (it's a spin dial) but there is a SECOND lil white notch that is confusing me.. if you look at it like a clock there is a white notch at 12 o clock and one at 11 i don't have any experience with cracking safes, and i have no intention on forced entry of this safe.

anyway, to throw all of the previous text aside, is there any way i can use one of those "heart listeners" i dunno what they're called .. doctors use them to listen to your heart. Would that help me or is it complete movie BS.

also, would there be any other way of getting into the safe without breaking it?
I live where the safe is so i have access to it whenever i want.

it is a spin dial BUT it also has a keyhole in the middle of the dial so im guessing you can open it with a key, too?

There's a reason you can't post in the safes section. That infomation is not meant to be discussed in the open forums.

If you need to get the safe open, your best bet is to call a locksmith.

I'm thinkin' this is a joke, lol.
If not, no worries. If he's retarded enough to do what he just did, he's retarded enough to get caught.

original post at 10:53, asking how to open a safe, containing very valuable items, with no previous experience.

11:27, 34 minutes later, he has the safe open. Either this is complete BS, or he is the best safe cracker this world has seen. Who would honestly store $15,000 in cash in a safe that could be cracked that easily.

I think your full of crap. Stop wasting our time with stupid posts.

He already knew 1 number and knew it's likely significance. Dialing instructions wouldn't take long to find. They're on most lock maker's websites.

You could traceroute the IP, and then email the local police departments of that area a copy of the thread and the IP address. If there was a relevant case in the region, the ISP could do an IP lookup.

On the off-chance that it IS for real, I think it would be worth it.

ah i didn't see the part about him already having one number. I agree with TOWCH though. Everybody who posts on this site has their IP address automatically recorded i would assume, right?

last number

Postby raimundo » 29 Sep 2007 7:46

he was there when the safe was open and the dial was set to that last number, some combo locks will scramble the dial as you lever it open. maybe he shoulder surfed the rest of the numbers and had a close idea of where to look for them.
