Are you trying to rekey the lock, or strip it down to one or two pin stacks?

insewrt key into key way and rotate 90 degres clockwise.

take something like small aand strong like a dentists pick and stick it in that little hole at the neck of the lever. sometimes you have to slide back the fancy flashing to access the hole.

btw the key much remain turned while you poke the hole.

the handle should come right off.

There is prolly something you can google that will give you pics.

take the cover out of the lever

depress the pin while rotating the knurled retainer counter clockwise

Daniel put the key in the lock then take off the clip on the back holding in the plug, slowly pull the plug out with the key in and turned then it will come apart.Caution though the springs will fly out so slowly do it or use a piece of dowel (in the abscence of shims etc) and follow the plug from the clip end with the dowel to stop the springs flying out.The pins will be in the plug and also trapped in the barrel underneath the dowel with the springs. Forget the dowel if you want to have a good look around or only put a few pins back in.Its a bit tricky putting the pins and springs back in but not too bad with some tweezers, you can hold the pin and spring down with a pick as you push the plug back in.Use a vice unless you are an octupus

Sorry if it doesnt make sense but its how i taught myself, at the end of the day have a go and beware of flying bits.

If i havent explained it right can someone please explain other methods.

Thanx lol but i have no key

i had a feeling you were going to say that. dude, its still do-able, but you need to be able to pick the lock, and by the sounds of it, you want to take the pins out to learn. I would reccommend putting this one aside, and getting a replacement cylinder from a hardware store. Then, you can take out the pins, and work your way up. Besides, the pleasure you get from picking a lock that you attempted whilst learning and couldnt get, but now you can get far out goes the feeling of picking a lock you just bought.
