Greetings,
I have a master lock 140 with a long shackle.
Iv'e picked it once but im pretty sure that was by luck because all i did was stick my pick in and mess around in there..
Any help please ?
Thanks. ( Iv'e been trying with a twisty tension wrench + Short hook. )

the 140 has a small keyway so use a small tensioner, when I was first starting out I found the half diamond (Slimline if you have one) moved under the pins in this keyway best.

Its got security pins in there too, kind of a nasty one. If you can learn to pick that lock consistantly you can move on up to a Schalge.
If a lock is a puzzle, then its key is the complete picture

Are the Yale locks in the UK the same as the Yale locks we have in the US? I have picked several Yale cylinders. I'd compare them more to Kwikset than Schlage. If they are different I need to work out a trade with someone.

I don't have alot to trade right now. My uncle's are now hookes on lockpicking and cleaned me out but I'll see if you are interested in any of this.
1. Antique yale padlock. I don't know much about it, no key.
2. Antique wafer lock, Chicago I believe.
3. Master padlock that I believe is antique, it's got a tiger imprinted on the case.
4. LN21 made Medeco pick, I bought it but I have no Medeco locks and probably never will.

so start with something you can strip down and pick with 1/2/3/4/5 pins.

Does that include the 140 with a regular short shackle?
I want to know what I'm up against before I embark on the adventure of picking it
