If you're just starting out, I would recommend just buying the Eleven piece kit. It has all the picks a beginner (or anyone, realistically) would need. As for the snap gun, I've never had one myself, and don't really see the purpose outside of being a quick access tool for police or locksmiths. Seems to kind of take the fun out of picking, at least in my eyes. As for the auto-jigglers, I wouldn't suggest those either. Might be kind of fun to mess around with, they only really work on older cars. That's my two cents. Good luck and happy picking.

If you're going to get a combo kit, this is the one to get.

I'd rather the warded lock picks over the auto jigglers, but this kit also has a plug spinner, and a feather touch wrench.

These picks have handles, which is a good thing, and you get a good selection as well.

Good luck.

My suggestion to you would be to make your first set of tools if you have the proper equimpent to do so. Otherwise just buy a cheap set of picks, or just buy the picks you need individualy. The peterson "just picks" set seems like a good buy. http://www.peterson-international.com/picksets-detailed.htm#plus It shure would suck if you spent all that money on a big set, and have it turn out that you dont even like lockpicking. IMHO i see no need for a lirge pick set, most of the picks are usualy repeats, or some sort of rake that is slightly differant from a nother. All you realy need is a hook, half dimond, snakerake and tension wrentch for a basic set, and with that you will have all the tools you need to pick most all tumbelers.
