Master Lock#21 -How do you remove the pin for the core cover

Newbie Question:

I bought a box of new masterlock cores and a matching #21 lock. I am going to use this and the cores for some of my prctice locks. I have searched and do not see the process for removing the retainer cover for the core itself. When I look down into the lock, I see and hole where the pin is. I do not see any hexes in there for a allen wrench. I also tried to lightly tap it out but stopped until I find out the correct method.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

FYI.. The lock looks to be at least 20 years old. (Just in case they have changed the process from old to new)

It was threaded and the hex was stripped out from the prior owner. I had to knock the head off then pull it apart.

I now need to pick up another screw and retaining nut!

I think the pinning kit from Master comes with spare parts for that thing. Not the aftermarket kits like LAB, I'm talking about the pin kit straight from Master.
