It is often called a cruxiform lock. These can be picked using a half or full diamond, but applying tension can be a pain. There are special tools, but they are rather expensive.

www.lockpicks.com may be able to order one for you. Expect it to run about $230 dollars or so. I would say to make your own tension tool that allows you tension at 2 or 4 points, but yet leaves enough room down the center for you to use a rake of some kind.

I hate thoses locks

Postby Hojo » 17 Jun 2004 8:13

I hate them so much I had to pick one for my brother (he left his keys at his house and his bike was at the train station...Duh stupid....But to the point.....to make a tension wrench fo them is a bit tricky...you need a metal plate (fairly thin, strong but bendable) and you drill a smalish hold in the middle then file out the center leaving 4 little lumps, file the lumps untill they are little rectangles and bend them down...you need a fairly small file to get in there so you end up with a plate with 4 tabs coming out of it..if you understand that....I dont know where my one is so sorry I cant get a photo...
