What should I buy?

I plan on spending roughly 50-80 dollars on a new set or something.
The Pro-Pack 60 from http://www.lockpicktools.com looks like a good deal but looking at the picture it looks like alot of doubles with different handles. Any advice? Oh and I already have a PXS-17 from southord

You are correct about the set having alot of doubles with different handles. It has alot of picks you really do not need. You already have all the picks you need with your southord set. Instead of spending the money on a massive ammount of lower quality picks, why not opt for a quality upgrade?

Check out www.pererson-international.com they have great picks, expensive, but you get what you pay for. Also, check out some of our members here Locknewbie21 and Raimundo both offer handmade picks for sale, quantities are limited so you may have a bit of a wait, but it's well worth it. I own picks made by both men, it's rare when I use a pick not made by one of them.

Pick guns are fun for a few minutes, then you will likely get bored. They offer no real challenge and are limited in their capability. Good luck with it.

i don't really plan on using it that much because I'm still learning to pick. I think picking by hand will be more useful the pick gun only good for opening the locks it doesn't do anything for me

that was my first choice but i got the deal with the book, I saved like 10 bucks

it came and it works pretty well i only ended up using it

for a few minutes

and then got my picks and started practicing again. Overall it's a nice tool to have around.
