I picked my house lock. It took me like 5 min for the first time now I can do it in about 2 min. I tried to pick my office door but I couldn't. It was a keymark I heard that you can't put another unauthorized copy but does it have extra security against lock picking. Its like one of those locks that are levers not round ones. anyone ever have success with these kinds of locks.

Yes, many have experience with their house and office locks. Usually they come here with the headline "I think my lock is broken".

You should not pick your in use locks, because there is a chance that you break them.

Very well done picking your first lock!

However, like Jaako says you shouldn't be picking your house lock, you could mess it up badly without even knowing you've done it until you need it to work with the key.

Go and buy yourself some nice locks from Wal-Mart to practce on.

as far as buying your own lock instead of using an in-use one, I cannot stress enough the use of a deadlock as opposed to a padlock... It is very easy to remove, rearrange and replace pins. meaning that you can practice and upgrade as you wish, with as many or few pins as you like.
