Im new. But need help identifying a master.

Postby x8xViperx6x » 23 Oct 2008 8:07

Hi, im new to the site, ive been reading alot on different types of lock, specially masters. Ive picked a few different types, but I got a lock from my dad, it was his basic training lock. It has Master's emblem, so I know its a Master lock, but I have no idea what type of master it is. The only other thing it say is U.S. Set on the front and on the bottom it says DG and 1hh. I searched but nothing came up, just curious. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Oh, I dont know if this helps but you have to have the key to open AND close the lock, is this a difficult lock to pick? Ive tried no luck..

what does knowing the model number have to do with picking it? why is it so important?

if the body is 1.75" wide it is likely a 21 series.
if the body is 2" wide it is likely a 25 series
if the body is 2" wide with a thicker shackle, it is likely a 27 series.
