tubular tension wrench

Postby clonedone » 30 Nov 2008 21:17

Hi sorry if this post was already posted, but i searched and didn't see any.

okay so i wanna pick a tubular lock with my regular lock picks, but using a homemade tension wrench. I don't want to buy a tubular lock pick, im low on cash right now.

I seen it done on youtube, people were pickign tubular locks with home made tension wrenches and i was just wondering if it was possible to actually do this? and if it is, does anyone know where i can get one of these wrenches, or if they have a template, thanks.

Ideal Creations makes one: http://www.idealcreations.net/ls03.htm

jimb has a template for it in the templates thread: viewtopic.php?p=227635#p227635

It's certainly possible to pick one manually, but you'll have to pick the lock multiple times as the pins will reset each time they move one position (7 positions in a typical 7-pin tubular lock).
