Well folks, I got my HPC computer-generated picks just a few minutes ago and I've already picked two Yale door locks at our "secure" facilty. THIS IS SCARY EASY. :P I just followed the enclosed directions and it worked within the first couple of picks chosen.

Granted, this is not really picking a lock and purists may be put off by the ease of use and lack of skill necessary - but if you need to get into something - they really, really work! :D

Yeah, they do work, and work very well.

Over time, you get more and more used to lock identification, and pick selection.

To the point, where if the pick is going to work, it looks like magic.

They were designed for that reason, and designed well it seems.

This is where I bought mine - online - came in 3 days!

I've also bought a lot at Rininger.com. The computer picks run about 7$70.00, so you may have to tap the Christmas fund :D

I checked them out and I think I will risk spending the money and buy a set. :)

I can vouch for them. Against my better judgement and after asking around the forum and getting great response I did order a set. I was sorta not to thrilled but i figured at worst they're cool looking. And for me they work like a charm on all hte BEST Acess Icore locks I have access to. They also make some kick ass rakes in a pinch. Only complaint for me was the case. But apparently I'm extremely picky about the way picks should fit in a case and the way they should come out. And worst case scenario should you hate them I'm sure someone here might be interested in them.

Does anyone know what the different colored picks in this computer-gen set denote? It seems that seven are beige/orangish, and two are more like red.

Anyone have both the majestic computer picks and the HPC picks? How do they compare?

The Majestic tools come in two versions - The 8 double sided picks and the 16 double sided picks. Would the 8 double sided picks be enough to cover a lot of locks?

Just an educated guess but I would think that 8 double-sided picks (which is really a total of 16 picking tools) would be more than adequate for the average lock you would be using.

I may, but lord knows where those got to.

I'm lucky if I can find half of my templates or documentation.

I'll see what I can find.
