Lockpicking Tournaments?

Not sure if this should be in the Locksporting forum but I am wondering if there are any lockpicking tournaments in America, specifically Texas. I know defcon hosts one, but spending a few grand for a tournament doesn't interest me. Please Reply

Texas has one of the biggest collections of Locksport International chapters. Check locksport.com.

Also, Defcon is hardly thousands. My wife and I went to 16 and spent maybe $600 all told.

I believe that I had heard of such things associated with ALOA or perhaps CLA in california.

that was a long time ago though.
