A few questions for the elite members of lp101.com

Postby ttn1f » 6 Apr 2009 14:08

Hello.Thank you for taking the time to read this post.I just had a few questions for you guys that shouldn't be too hard to answer. My first question is how do I buy lockpicks?Do the people that sell them require 3 forms of ID and a DNA sample or something crazy like that or can you just order them and they ship no questions asked? Also,do they ship to residences or do I have to own a business? Also,I was really wanting to buy a pick gun.Any suggestions on brands to buy?And if they do require things I don't have, and tips on making my own very basic set?I want to make them out of stainless steel steak knives instead of spring steel hacksaw blades so they'll last longer.Once again, thanks for your time. And by the way,I'm very new to the lock picking scene.I've popped a few dollar store padlocks but all I've been able to use are paper clips, safety pins and street sweeper blades for tension wrenches.

Like datagram says... It's all in the stickies..

However..
You can buy picks online, no ID and no DNA test. They ship to residences.
You will probably need a credit card, or send a money order and wait.

A pick gun is not a magic wand. You still need skills to use it.
Many people get one and after a few trys, they sit it in a drawer and don't use it.

Steak knives or hacksaw blades, both work and both last for years. Just don't use your picks as a screwdriver.

If you have sweeper blades look at making a set of these. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=8205
They really are like magic wands..

"Don't use your picks as screwdrivers.?" I must have things backwards as I have been using my screwdrivers for picks (& my hammer for tension wrench) :D

ROTFL
But I have to admit that sometimes I use my picks (a short hook) to clean my nails
