locksmithing literature

After reading some of the thread about greyman's book I was wondering what would be some good literature to read when I'm away from the computer(because you can't really print off all of lp 101  ), or whether most books out there aren't worth buying because they cover the most basic stuff. I know Marc Tobias has a massive book out, but I don't really want to pay 200$ for a book at the moment.

Some titles that look interesting are
Visual Guide to Lock Picking (Third Edition)
How To Open Locks With Improvised Tools: Practical, Non-Destructive Ways Of Getting Back Into Just About Everything When You Lose Your Keys (formerly published as Lock Bypass Methods)

I have the visual guide to lock picking and it my option it’s a very good book. Well worth the money. It’s full of illustrations and breakdowns of locks and a handy reference guide to have around.

An excellent one for learning the insides of many locks, and how to pick them is:
Modern High Security Locks - How to Open Them by Steven Hampton

Here is one more for the budding locksmith, has lots of info about locks and servicing them, as well as a chapter on picking, (good book, but some of it is dated, going back well into the 70's and 80's):
Complete Book of Locks and Locksmithing 6th Edition by Bill Phillips

Last years pivotal work by Marc Tobias pertaining to Medeco locks, a very technical and in depth book that every locksport enthusiast should have on their shelf:
Open in Thirty Seconds - Cracking One of the Most Secure Locks in America

enjoy,

Don't forget to order a copy of High Security Mechanical Locks

I really like the Visual Guide to Lock Picking (Third Edition) for a cheap choice and High-Security Mechanical Locks: An Encyclopedic Reference for a slightly more expensive choice.
