Locksport Info

Postby bluefish6900 » 17 Apr 2009 22:14

Hi Guys, for those of you that are involved in the locksport community maybe you can give me a little advice. I'm interested in reactivating a chapter in my area (Halifax), but not really sure how to go about it. I've applied to sign up on the locksport site twice with no response both times. I have giving a fair amount of time for a response (3-4 weeks) thinking that the locksport community as a whole is more then likely run by volunteers and they may have busy schedules.

So that being said, when you apply for a membership to locksport does the application go to the local chapter president? If so, then that would be why i have not had an answer. There isn't a president of this dormant Chapter.

If any of the above is true then can you point me in the right direction as to who i would need to contact as to getting something started.

Thanks for your help in advance.

FYI- Locksport is in the middle of an unofficial reorganization right now I believe. Personally on my end I take care of all the exams, and some other related admin stuff.

I will send your question up the food chain and see what kind of response I get.

Regards,

I don't know if this helps or not, but I just applied to start a new chapter (Albany, OR). I heard back in about 5 days, so there are people reading the email at questions@locksport.com

Was that where you were sending yours?

Oh, and 20 posts! :) I think this is the most I've ever said in a forum. Kinda sad, really.

No, i did not send an email to questions@locksport.com, i simply tryed to apply to at least get into the organisation. and there was a contact for the halifax charter but an unanswered E-mail was sent. i just figured that would be the way to go. I'l send off and a proper e-mail and see if i can get something started.

If we can each get a chapter in the starting stage we could ping off one another with ideas.

Thanks
