Hello,
I have been picking a masterlock #3 tumbler for about an hour with my new southord pickset :D . It is the first actual lock that i have pciked, other than a filing cabinet. I have picked it so much that i know the exact movements to open it. I am looking for a more advanced and challenging lock to pick. Preferably a very inexpensive deadbolt. If you have a good reccomendation PLEASE reply.

Thanks :D ,
Cman

Go buy a masterlock 140 for the next try. It should be a bit more complicated for you, it has a usual one security pin which makes picking a bit harder and you get a slower introduction to harder locks. When you find padlocks exhausted I'd suggest buying a cylinder from Varjeal or Luke depending on location. You can have all six security pins, or whichever configuration you wish. They are a very good kit to practice with.

Price depends on where you live...and start looking at a hardware store...ANY hardware store.

look for free locks on doors being thrown out at demolition or remodeling sites. To look for really interesting old locks, find the guy who recycles brass in your comunity and ask him to save locks for you. of course most of what he gets will be either too common or just real junk, but he is also the place where you will find the exotic varieties.
