Master No.1 Padlock Question

Postby mattman » 9 May 2009 16:03

I have a Master No. 1 Padlock that doesn't have a key. On the bottom are the numbers 2359. Are these numbers the depths of the cuts? Or are they a code that you can use to find the depths of the cuts? I have depth and spacer keys for the M1 key. I just needed to know if these were the depths of the cuts. Thanks! :)

Those are the code numbers. You need to look 'em up in the codebook.

Thanks! I had that feeling, since my depth keys only go to a number 7 depth, and the code on the lock had a number 9 in it. :)

Thanks again,

I do believe that is the code not the cuts for the key. Like adrenalynn said you need to look that code up in a code book or code software to find the cuts.

Looked up your code and have the cuts, just don't know if I am allowed to post them or not, if a mod could chime in and let me know, I will give you the cuts.

If the OP wants to host some photos clearly showing it as his/her own lock.. and its not in use...

May I suggest that, assuming the requisite photos are posted, that the cuts be sent via PM rather than posted? Seems it would provide the OP what they need, and avoid posting cuts that marginally may be useful in an inappropriate usage.
It's a good day when I learn something new.

That was already mentioned to the user who has access to provide such information.

Another member kindly PMed the cuts to me on Saturday, I made the key on Sunday, and the lock is now at use on my tool box at work today. Thank you very much for your offer anyway, KokomoLock. I appreciate the help I get on this board. :)
