Cigar box

Postby drummond52 » 12 May 2009 19:26

I have become fairly good at picking some locks, but I was asked to open this cigar box, I believe it is called a box lock, anyway I guess I have no idea, I tried bending a paper clip with no luck, could someone give me some pointers, Thanks in advance........drummond

If you need a picture let me know and I will take it tommorow, but all you can see is a small part of the inside as its mounted into the box.

Thanks.............drummond

Well, if that's a single lever lock you can pick it with a bent piece of wire, if its more than 1 lever (which I don't think it is) then you'll need to either get a lever padlock picking kit, or use multiple pieces of wire.

This is what the piece of wire would look like.
Alternatively, you could but a blank key, or make your own out of a piece of copper tube and something for the bitting.
