anti snap euro locks

hi all, i am upgrading the locks on my doors and want to get anti snap locks after reading up on my options. I have seen these generally prices at about £17-£20 on t'internet but saw http://www.handlestore.com/keycylinder.php for a cheap £11

these look great and a lot cheaper but will they be ok? anybody had any experience with them?

Don't bother with anti-snap cilinder.
Get a decent security rosette. This will discourage burglars to even try.

I would advice against buying from any place that claims their locks are "ANTI-PICK" and "ANTI-DRILL". They are making claims that they haven't proofed in any way and hence I would not trust anything else on their site.

Yup, weerwolf and jaakko have it right.

Euro cylinders are inherently weak because the cylinder is cut apart for the cam to operate, to strengthen this cylinder, they need to put a backstrap on the top of the cylinder, (bottom to northamericans)
the only way to harden them is to put armor like a rosette in front of the cylinder to prevent grabbing the nose and breaking it.

wouldnt they (burgulars) just take the rosette off in the same way they remove the door handle?

have never seen those rosettes for sale, will have to google it

Security roses have no externally accessable fixings, and bolt through the door. I've had to remove a MTL security rose, with ball bearings to protect the fixing bolts against drilling, and it was a PIG OF A JOB! Nobody would want to do that in a covert manner, the swearing alone would alert the neighbours!
