I have a query for a colleague. He is looking for a very solid, heavy duty, reliable combination padlock. He already knows about the Super Sesame. Are there any sensible alternatives? Maybe with a key override.
The Sargent and Greenleaf 8088 and 8077 are both good combination locks. I think the 8077 is a little better (stronger forced entry resistance and a spy-resistant dial), but I'm sure others can offer more insight.
You should be able to get them online for pretty cheap. I got both for about $20 each.
