hello guys can you tell me what a master lock is and how do i tell that i have got a master lock... and what is this master lock 1/ 2/ 3 etc etc

For future reference SEARCH, using the cute little button at the top of everypage.

I'll tell you how to find out what lock you have so that you can search for more information, though.

Look at the bottom of the lock and you will see a number, that is the type of lock. Then click search and type "master and 3" and read what you find.

Master Lock, Inc. manufactures Masterlocks. They have "Master" printed on them somewhere, generally on the front face or the bottom (where the key is) There are also "Master Knock-Offs" such as Magnum, etc. On the bottom, there should be a number, like Thomas said. That is the model of master. If the lock doesn't say 'master', it probably isn't.

if it says something other than master, its probably that company. not master
