Hello again everyone, I got another question for everyone out there. I'm waiting for a new combination of pick sets to come in. One of which has a tension wrench for tubular locks. Here's a link to what it is.. http://idealcreations.net/ls03.htmI'm looking forward to start picking and messing around with tubular locks. Only problem is I don't have one at the moment. Does anyone have any idea or recommendations on where i can get one or a couple for a reasonable price? Whether it's on a bike lock or just the lock itself. I just want something to practice on. Any help at all would be much appreciated. Thanks! [edit- fixed title-unlisted]

Ya. uh... try a discount store, or a walmart for a cheap bike lock. Or ebay.

Alright. Yea, I didn't really think of wal-mart. All of my hardware stores didn't have anything. But thanks. I'll check out tomorrow.

Check out local amusement rental places (that rent soda machines, video games etc). Tell them you want to buy an ace lock, see if they have used ones that they will sell you. Don't mention the picking part though. If asked, tell them you are working on a project and leave it at that. Chuck

Thanks again for all the advice everyone. After searching around on the web for a while. I couldn't find much. Then I checked on ebay and found, then of course bought, a LOT OF 10 FOR $10!!! $15 with shipping.. But they're new, 2 keys for each, and none are keyed alike. I felt like I hit the lottery! Haha. Thanks again everyone. Happy holidays

i was just on ebay and some one is selling cut-away tubular locks right now for $1.62. not sure how you cut away a tubular lock but seem interesting though.

You could write to the british MOD, I know that they had a lot of spares after they replaced them as keys to the nuclear launch switches

Could be that this lock was meant to be used as an electrical switch.
