LAB mini pick sets

Postby Gaian » 9 Oct 2004 20:16

Does anybody in here have one of these? I'm wondering about 2 things, how are these sets, and what is the 'Auto Disc Tension Tool', I can't find any info on it, and the pic's i've seen of the mini sets don't really show it. Is it one of those circle tension tools?

I have a feeling that it's that two pronged tension tool - used to hold the dust flap that covers a lot of auto locks open.

The LAB picks are good stuff, I love my set. The 2 prong tension tool is what I learned to pick with, it fits perfectly into Kwikset and Schlage sets, but you have to be careful, as you tend to bear down on it and apply too much tension.

I just got the LAB set and they work pretty well. They do seem to bend a little more easily than petersons or southord tho.

Ah, ok. When I saw 'Auto Disc' I didn't even think of car :P

Yep, that pic looks like what's in the sets I was looking at.
