important question about "ideal creations"

Postby twiggymm777 » 1 Jan 2010 6:08

hello again everyone. i have another question for the lockpicking 101 world. I ordered a "combination pack" from ideal creations on dec. 14, 2009, and i still have not recieved the package as of jan 1, 2010. i tried emailing the company 2 times and got no response. i never got a tracking number so i could never even try to track the package. so basically i paid $50.00 for nothing as of right now. i was hoping the package could be a christmas present to myself, but i still havent had any response from the company whatsoever. i was wondering if anyone knew if the website was some type of scam or if anyone knew what could be the problem. any answers or info would be greatly appreciated. thanks again everyone

There are a few threads on this site with members complaining about the same thing about the same company. I don't think they are a scam but they probably run this business out of someone's garage (or bedroom) and are just not very professional about how they run their operation.

Most of the time I've heard that it takes a few months of sending e-mails and complaints for them to actually ship out what you've ordered. If you used a credit card (or maybe even PayPal) to order from them I've heard they get their act together once you file a complaint with either companies to try and get a refund.
If a lock is a puzzle, then its key is the complete picture

Thanks for all your help and information everyone. I think it helped a lot. Although I STILL didn't receive my package, I have received a few emails from them. The last one I got finally had my tracking number and said I should receive my tools in 2 or 3 days. What a relief. I feel like a battle is finally over! Ha ha. Again, thanks for all your help. I will let u all know how the tools work and what I think of them.

Hey everyone. I finally received my ideal creations "combination pack" 2 or 3 days ago. It contained the 12 piece set with the tubular lock tension wrench, an informational training dvd (didn't get to watch yet), and it came with the "keychain lock picker pro". After dealing with the company and how long it took to receive the package, I assumed the tools were going to be kind of "half assed" and not so great. To my surprise, the tools ended up being some of the best picks I have purchased or made. They opened every lock I tried 5 times faster than my regular tools. If you can take the wait to get them, I highly recommend getting a set. Hope this helps everyone.
