clear brockage practice lock

Postby matthew1 » 26 Jan 2010 15:09

I bought one of these about 1 1/2 months ago and was able to learn quickly with it. I then put electrical tape around it and learned to pick that way. The front pin and spring came out and I contacted my dealer to see about a warranty. He said he is contacting Brockage. Has anyone else had this problem?

Sure. Even in brass cylinders if there's enough wear. Got a couple teaching cylinders like that, and a padlock with a wide keyway (cheap chinese).

Are you picking it a lot? Lucite can't take the wear and tear of much picking, especially raking. These transparent beauties are good for demonstrating function but not constant use.

Do you guys only use these learning cylinders for standard pin-tumblers or do they make them for high security locks too? I'm not sure if you're allowed to answer that on the public forums :D

Thanks

Ben

I've seen regular, tubular, handcuff, and combination models, but no high security versions. Medeco has a large demo, I've heard.
