Case + pick dimension questions

Postby ilinbg » 21 Feb 2010 7:24

Hello! I've been lockpicking for some time now and since I live in Bulgaria, picks are extremely hard to come by. I make my own picks from hacksaw blades because there are no street sweepers (I live in a village where most of the roads are "black" - no asphalt). I'm wandering what should be the printing scale of that bogota?Image
I'm asking this because I had a few failures with snake-rakes made too large. Generally, what I'm asking is about the size of a printed pattern.

I also tried to find some pick case patterns. I found lots of "tool wrappers" and no Zip-Arounds, like the southord ones. I don't plan to own more than 15-20 picks, therefore the zip-around seems convenient to me. I'd be grateful if someone posts such a pattern.

Thanks in advance!

To the OP.

Considering what you have said, I suggest a empty eye glasses case may be something to store your picks in.

If you want a zip these Parker Pen cases make good cases, I dont know if it would be big enough for your picks though. I have some Southord slimline picks in mine.

I've heard of Cigar Tubes being used too.

Thanks, guys :) At the moment I am lookig for a cosmetics zip-around case similar to the southord ones in the second-hand shops that I know. However, it may require some stitches and leather to suit my needs.
