I know its here somewhere and I did use the Search (I think you have updated it since the last time I was here) I can't find the thread. Could someone please post a link on how to open a Master combination lock. FROM LP101, I don't care about shimming, I just want to find out what the combination is. No need to re-post all the info, I just want a link, BTW I have advanced access if it is advanced.
I bought a bunch of Old School locker padlocks the type that have a key way on the back. They did not have the combo with them so I got the lot for $2. They are easy to pick with thin picks.

To the best of my knowledge there are only two ways... If you are a locksmith then you could use code software if the lock has a serial/code# stamped on it.
The second option is drilling a hole in the rear casing and watching the wheels line up as you turn the dial.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but... viewtopic.php?t=6142#222149They talk about finding the sticking gates on a combo lock, then how to derive the numbers from that.

The ones I have seen with the keyway on the back do not have the code stamped on the back to find the combo, don't drill a hole to find the combo, simply open the lock and look inside and do the math to find the combo. That is easy to do, if you need help PM me and I will tell you how, or.. if you have the code off the back find somebody who can look it up for you.

Last master combo lock I looked at - I could actually see the wheels through the shackle hole once it was open. So - pop it open, then watch the wheels while you spin the dial & figure out the combo.

Try searching for "Master padlock tryout combination".
Or shim it open and read the wheel pack if you don't want to damage the back plate.

They do have a code stamp (V617 1391215), I don't remember who is a locksmith on the forum or if they will even give me that info I have 4 of the locks, I think I will just pick the lock and then look into the shackel like posted above.
Thanks a lot Rob

I just wanted to add that my main thing is I want to keep them usable. So I don't want to drill. I am going to need to shim one of the locks since there is no keyway on the back.

I could be wrong but as I said, most of these with the key don't have a usable code on the back to look up the combo, I ran your numbers, all I could come up with as a possible would be,,, 30-12-26 It may work, but I haven't had much luck with them.
