This is a bit of a stretch, but does anyone happen to know what kind of locks are generally found in costa rica, or anything about laws regarding the possession lock picks?
A friend of mine lives there working with an NGO. He says that every house is surrounded by a wall with either broken glass in the concrete or barbed wire on top. He says he is constantly getting calls from people that need help getting back in with their kids and he ends up having to climb the walls usually.
He asked me for a "lock picking kit" and I'm trying to get a good idea of what kind locks these are and if he's going to end up in jail for using them. A search on google didn't give me much help, does anyone, by some off chance, have any prior experience with locks in costa rica?
