Simplest Way to open FAI by Viro Lock

Postby chribonn » 20 Jul 2010 9:46

Hi,

I aquired a small place in the country. I discovered a small stone shed protected by a FAI by Viro lock. Attached is the actual photo of the lock. Image

I would appreciate if anyone could please tell me the ***simplest*** way to break open this lock. I don't really care whether the lock is destroyed in the process (If there's anything worth protecting I'll replace the existing lock with a new given that I could not find the keys).

I have thought about chasing through the lock but given the "solid" quality of the lock (compare the lock to the door!!) I don't think this will be an easy task.

I would be greatful if anyone could direct me to the most cost effective kit that would do the job. I don't think I will need to pick other locks so longivity of the kit is not important.

TIA
Alan

I could not add a photo to the posting. The actual photo can be viewed at http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/RiNWR3apq_l4mlwA38whbA?feat=directlink

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Sorry: destructive entry isn't something that we discuss in the open forums, for obvious reasons.

Sorry, we cannot help you with info on how to pick that lock, since the lock is in use.

If we tell you how and then someone trying to steal money from their work's office petty cash box googles this forum, we will have inadvertently given them the steps needed in committing a crime.

If you need this lock opened, please visit a local locksmith, they will be glad to pick it or drill it for you, for a small fee.

You beat me to it MacGyver101

I understand your point. Probably a locksmith would be the simplest, quickest and cheapest option.

The locksmith option did not even figure in my alternatives.

Very sorry.... and I'm glad that you understand.

Best of luck, and congratulations on your new place in the country!
