only picking? sister site?

hi, new here.

im getting into locksmithing. i dont really have much interest in picking, but i am now intrigued enough to want to see whats in the advanced section, but i digress.

anyway, it seems like this site is specifically dedicated to picking, and not so much the smithing. i also found a link to the locksmithing sister site, but says that its not available.

so whats the deal?

i'm a picker and not a smith (yet), but from what i've learned so far on the sight: it's much more than just picking. there's information pertaining to locksmithing, as well as a community of locksmiths willing to share information to better the profession. some of the locks discussed are picked in different ways, and manipulated or bypassed. don't give up on the sight yet, there's plenty for the locksmith.
