Help identify and disassemble lock

I tried posting an attachment of my lock, but the site kept rejecting it.
It's a junk lock I had lying around, so I'm having a hard time figuring out what it could be.
It says "BC" on the front in a fancy cursive font.

I also need help disassembling it. I'm trying to get to the c-clip, but there
is a gold "ring" around that section that I can't seem to remove or budge in any way.

I know noobs can be frustrating lol, so feel free to direct me to another thread if it will help.

I tried looking over Google for some clues to identify the lock, but I couldn't come up with anything discernible. Sorry.
I was hoping somebody else would have been able to chime in and help since I was out of options, so I didn't post anything.
