Medeco Series 50 Padlocks - Question???

Medeco Question - US Gov Spec:
Trying to close out a new Hardware install package and can't find any reference / Cutsheet for: Medeco Exterior Padlock 50-T032115KDP. I'm assuming this has changed to the new Medco Series 52 Padlock? Trying to prove to the US Gov that this is the new and approved version - Their specs are old.... Any feedback?

We're all up for digging up obscure info about Medeco, but wouldn't your local Medeco locksmith or factory rep be a better conduit for this information? "the guys at lockpicking101.com told me this one supersedes the old number" probably won't fly with your federal overlords. =)

But who knows, we're gaining momentum and more and more people take our knowledge base seriously. I'm sure someone will know the answer to this.

I can't find any information on a series 50 Medeco padlock, but there seems to be plenty about a series 52.
You may be right about the change to series 52. I can try and help you but it might be easier to go through official
channels to obtain the specs. I'm not sure if they'd be willing to hand out a cut sheet to me simply because I ask.

It may also be easier to ask them if the series 52 meets or exceeds the Gov't specifications for the application they
are intended for.

If you need someone stateside to pester Medeco, feel free to hit me up though.

The 50-T032115KDP Part number looks to be the following.

50 = Series
T= M3 Technology
03 = Interchangeable core, Non Key Retaining
2 = 2 1/4" Shackle Clearance
1 = Stainless Steel Shackle Material
1 = 3/8" Shackle Diameter
5 = Include the following Options (Padlock Case Cover (Rubber), Dust Cover, and Chain)
KDP = ??


Also I just got off the phone with a Medeco Rep, and the Series 50 Brass Padlock is currently produced and should be on the 2011 price sheet. They have always made them, but since almost 100% of the series 50 production was for the US Gov, they have not marketed it or cataloged it.
