What happened here? (Master No.5 question)

Postby tedwasright » 20 Apr 2011 13:14

I'm a noob, I know, but this is weird. I was SPP a Master 5. I've done it a bunch of times. After I picked it I left it open and went on to the next one. When I finished I locked them again. When I locked it, however, the plug was turned. Now the lock itself is in locked position but the plug is rotated. I can pick anything to open it because the plug is actually turned. The key won't even go in. I an't unlock it. What do I do? Is this lock garbage now? Also, what did I actually do?

Thanks in advance for your help.

can't you just rotate the cylinder back to it's original position?? (eg with a pick) or trying rotating it more with a pick and it could open? I assume it's not rotated 180 degrees, which would be the common problem of the pins being stuck in the bottom of the keyway (vs the top where they would normally be)

The plug will only turn about 90 degrees. This is pretty frustrating. Any ideas?
