From the photo, that looks like a double-bitted lever lock. Those locks come in a variety of quality: they range from moderately hard to pick, to extremely hard to pick (depending on the lock manufacturer). This likely isn't a high-end lock, though, based on the safe that it's installed into.

Where do you live? (It's hard to answer that question without knowing at least what country you're in.)
If you bolt it down, that safe is probably fine to stop a casual thief from walking off with your passport. If you're storing anything very valuable, there are probably better options. (And I should note that we generally don't discuss picking/opening safes in the general forums -- so we may not be able to give you much more advice than that.)
