Sentry 1610 lock with electronic keypad

Postby bfinpc » 14 Nov 2004 20:37

I let the battery go dead on this safe for too long, and it lost the combination I had set. Apparently it has defaulted to the factory setting. Anyone know the try-out codes for these safes?

Don't the digital safes ship with random combos?
I think there's usually a sticker in the owner's manual with the pre-set user combo and a master combination which works even if the user combo is changed. I'm pretty confident they don't use the same master combo for all the safes of a particular model.
However, you can pay sentry $8 and they'll tell you the master combo for your safe:

Call sentry or a locksmith, questions such as these are not likely to be answered on this forum.

32768 is right on the money, the master combination is on a sticker in on the front inside cover of the manual. That combination always works no matter what.
