I'm picking a kwikset lock and sometimes when i turn the cylinder one or more spring gets caught and i have to remove the cylinder to take them out. Any reason why its doing this?
Is it when the lock is turned 180 degrees? If so it’s because when you pick a lock the key isn’t blocking the driver pins from being pushed into the plug when turned. Block the bottom of the key way (being at the top!) with the back of a pick or something else to prevent the driver pins and springs to fall out. /SPP
Your top pins need to be longer. The plug is turning with the top pin still in the plug chamber, because the top pin was not long enough to block the shearline with the lock in the locked position. camelgd
