You can upload your photos to a free Photobucket.com account, or you can use
http://tinypic.com/then if you have a URL address to your photo such as myphotos.com/account/lock.jpg you can post it here using the [img]tag%20before%20the%20URL%20and%20a[/img] after the URL address and it will display as an inline image.
If your lock is WW2, the padlock could possibly be made by American Lock or JuncUnc Lock, or Eagle. The serial number may be the cuts of the key, not really a serial number, but like it was already said, a photo is worth so much more than a description.
